Dendriform structures have come into sight step by step as one of the new space bionic structure in recent years with their beautiful and novel configurations and good force-bearing performance. After a long-term study, they are mainly used for long-span spatial building support, and now there are a lot of successful and typical engineering examples at home and abroad. Based on the former achievements, this thesis takes xi’an railway station building as the research object, which mainly supporting structure is dendritic column. Using the SAP2000finite element analysis software, study the mechanical characteristics of dendriform structures under the effect of static and dynamic, and except to provide the beneficial reference for the future dendritic column research.The main content of this thesis are:1.Doing the static performance analysis on the dendriform structures under five kinds of load combinations, obtains the axial force, the bending moment, the shear force and horizontal displacement of dendriform structures’main column and branch column. Comparisons showed that the bearing capacity and deformation of the structure under various load combinations can meet the specification requirements; the impact of the once-in-a-century wind load slightly larger than other loads, so it is the main control function, should not be neglected in calculation.2. According to the theory of the dynamic characteristics, do the modal analysis, and get the former30order modes of vibration cycle, vibration mode and natural frequency of vibration. The results show that the influence of higher vibration mode should be taken into account in the analysis of seismic action because of the complex structural natural vibration characteristics; at the same time, the impact of the vertical vibration model of the structure should not be neglected on the structure analysis.3.By using response spectrum method and time history analysis method of dendriform structure do the dynamic analysis under the action of frequent earthquake,(In accordance with the code for seismic design, I selected two actual seismic wave and one artificial seismic wave in the time history analysis, and considered to input horizontal and vertical seismic wave), received vertical and horizontal displacement under the action of vertical earthquake of dendriform structures’main column and branch column. The results show that t the influence of vertical seismic action on structure is obvious, the vertical seismic action should also be considered in the seismic analysis.4. Comparing with the calculation results of response spectrum method and time history analysis method:modal decomposition response spectrum method can only give the last result of the structural dynamic response, such as internal force and displacement. But the time history analysis method is a function of time, it gives the dynamic response of structure in each moment in the whole process of earthquake, and it can accurately reflect the maximum response time of structure.
