Application And Research Of AVC System In Baoding Power Grid

Automatic Voltage Control (Automatic Voltage Control, AVC) is an important means toimprove the power system voltage level and to promote economic benefits of power system. It’sadvantages clear, but because of voltage and reactive power nonlinear characteristics unique toitself, so that they achieve a considerable complexity. Due to the development of computertechnology, communications technology, network technology, as well as the popularity of powerplant and substation automation, it became possible to use the same AVC in power network andthe application of AVC will be important way of power grid reactive power integrated controltechnology.This thesis analyzes the features of reactive voltage control in Baoding city, because of theadjustment and control range is wide, the control mode is complex, it presents the three levelvoltage control mode based on soft partition. Through using the whole system structure analyzedthree level control mode one by one and used the thinking of coordination and separation of targettime and space three dimensions to understand the voltage control mode. In which the maincontrolled objects of control module of transformer substation in the second level control are220kV and110kV transformer substation, through detail analyzing of the control target, controlrules, evaluation of control effects and control equipments to reach the given optimizationobjective.Through the analyzing of operation of AVC system of Baoding grid, pointed the existedproblems and presented the suggestions to make sure the feasibility and reliability of theclosed-loop running state of system. Meanwhile, through the analyzing of AVC system operation,we can see that the implementation of AVC system improved the voltage quality and the systemefficiency, it also reduced the working strength for the operating staffs.
