Study On Greenway System Planning Downward Ecological Guide

The construction and generalization of greenway system in our country has achievedcertain development. The masses have attached more importance to the ecologicalfunctions of greenway system. In order to better improve the ecological network pattern inurban areas and provide more places for people to appreciate natural scenery and relaxthemselves, the study on the planning of greenway system under the guidance ofecologicalization is of theoretical and practical significance.The paper analyzes and summarizes the development of greenway system, relevantstudies and the general situation of greenway system construction. The author concludesthat the functions of greenway system mainly demonstrate in four aspects, i.e., ecology,relaxation, culture and economy. According to regional characteristics and functions, thepaper classifies greenway system into ecological type, suburban type and urban type. Onthe basis of the relationship between urban and rural roads, greenway is classified intoindependent type and combined type in the paper. For the purpose of dividing theadministrative power as well as clarify the goal, standard and requirements ofdifferent-leveled greenway construction, the paper classifies greenway into regional, urbanand community type. Moreover, the author raises the spatial structural pattern of greenwaysystem “island–core–greenway”. The author proposes that the singular linear spatialstructure of greenway should be expanded to the systematic network pattern which iscomprised by ecological landscape island, attractive core part and greenway.The paper analyzes the ecological functions of greenway system. It puts forward thatgreenway system can better give full play to its ecological functions through theconstruction of a complete ecological network, overall utilization of the system’s corridorfunctions as well as the negotiation of the relationship between the natural elements andman-made facilities. Besides, the key point of the ecologicalization construction ofgreenway system lies in three aspects, i.e., network layout of ecological elements, divisionof the scientific and ecological control zone, the construction of ecologicalization-andhuman-oriented facility system. In addition, the paper explores into the specific methodsfor the planning and construction of greenway system under the guidance ofecologicalization. Finally, the paper takes the planning and construction of greenwaysystem in Wujiang District, Suzhou as example and carries out an empirical study on it.
