Planetary gear reducer is usually applied to the working conditions of hightorque, large transmission ratio, high efficiency and high reliability areas, such asenhancement, mining and transportation. Compared with the speed reducer withconventional parallel axis gear transmission, it strong bearing capacity, smallspace, high efficiency, and the transmission ratio and output torque is large, hightransmission accuracy, and these advantages have a larger contact with the structuredesign, so it is very important to research and analysis on the structure of mainparts of planetary reducer.In this paper a new planet reducer on the platform of offshore drilling isanalyzed and studied, L type planetary gear reducer,research contents are as follows:(1) Research and analysis of the current situation and development trend ofdomestic and international planetary reducer and structure optimization, discusses themain methods of current structure optimization, this paper provides the direction forthe study of a specific planetary reducer.(2) After the analysis and research of the designed by conventional empiricalformula of the planetary reducer, and built the3D part drawings and assemblydrawings of parts; study the finite element analysis data of the part, found the designaccording to the conventional empirical formula of planetary gear reducer structuresafety coefficient is too high, resulting in the amount of redundancy structure is toolarge, makes the structure volume is big, use lightweight design theory improve thisproblem.Therefore, study and analysis one key accessory of the planetary reducer,the planetary frame structure, and finite element analysis on the structure ofplanetary frame, get the planetary frame’s stress and displacement variation, throughthe analysis found that some areas of the planet frame has structural redundancy ingreat quantities, not only increases the weight of the planetary frame, but also a kindof the waste of materials, after the study of planetary frame stress nephogram, thispaper, by using the method of partial resection of materials on the redundant part, namely dig the same shape of the redundancy in a large part of the center hole, andthen by the finite element analysis shows that this method is feasible, and provides areliable basis for the further study of lightweight structure of planetary frame.In addition, using the same method of planetary reducer box section structure ofthe lightweight research on reducing reinforcement plate thickness, improve theinternal structure of the box, and the results also provide reference for designof the lightweight structure for the future.(3) Although the planet frame finite element analysis proves feasibility of"digging hole" method, but the best size of the digging part can not preciselydetermined, therefore, to study and establish the structure size of the solved optimalvalue under the condition of the mathematical model, using MATLAB programmingto calculate mathematical model results of calculation, finite element analysis wascarried out, the results show that the established mathematical model is correct andreliable.
