With the rapid economic development and Chinese great efforts to strengtheninfrastructure construction, all kinds of concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) arch bridge havebeen widely applied in national infrastructure traffic construction.Its rapid development hasbenefited from the rapid economic development of our country, continuous improvement ofsocial labor productivity, the development of metallurgical technology and our countries’actual conditions, as well as concrete-filled steel tube structure itself has a series ofadvantages, such as convenient construction, light weight, stronge spanning ability, low costand good durability and so on.This paper takes some CFST tied arch bridge as engineering background. Based on thelarge finite element software, the whole structure model of arch bridge and local solid modelof skewback are established respectively. According to the force analysis of these twomodels under the conditions of different construction stage and load case, the specificdescription of force condition of practical arch bridge structure will be obtained. Firstly,describing history of the development of CFST arch bridge, in the current globalcontext,people study the force characteristics of the overall arch bridge and local skewbackunder different loads and achieve some results, summing up the construction controlprinciples and methods based on CFST arch bridge in the construction. In addition, afull-bridge plane linkage model is established by Midas-Civil software, analyzing the fullforce of arch bridge in each construction stage. Simultaneously, conducting constructionmonitoring for the actual arch bridge using the stress and deformation data from thefull-bridge finite element model, the monitoring results achieve basically the desiredobjectives and meet the requirements of control targets. Finally, the force situation ofskewback is analyzed under dead loads by using ANSYS software to establish skewback localsolid model. Compared with the stress conditions and full model between the tie beam and thearch rib near skewback, it shows that the the force condition of skewback is approximatelysame, and the error is small, which meets basically the practical force condition. the crosssection of arch rib is exchanged by the principles of cross section transformation during theprocess of establishing ANSYS model. At the same time, the part sections of tied beam aresimplified appropriately, while the rest parts are rigorously given according to designrequirements.
