At present, the shipping industry in Guizhou province is in an important periodof development, the construction of Wujiang river waterway and navigation facilitiesprovides a great help for regional economic development. With the rapid developmentof economy along Yangtze river and the large improvement of river shippingconditions, the shipping of Wujiang river will open a new chapter, and the freightvolume will reach15million tons in2020. But after the cascade development ofWujiang river, the problems of the single and inefficient existing way of freightorganization and the inconsistent and insufficient capacity of navigation facilities arenot adapt to the growing transport demand in the future. In order to solve theproblems above in an effective way and improve the through efficiency of navigationfacilities and realize the larger development of Wujiang river’s shipping and economy,optimizing the way of freight organization and the ship type is imminent.By the analysis of transportation gap in the future, taking measures of singletransport organization mode to pass the hub can’t solve the problem of insufficientcapacity, and the conditions of building a new channel of Wujiang river are alsounsatisfied,so the transport of passing the dam will be imperative.Firstly,this articlecomprehensively analyses the conventional freight organization by passing thedam,then from the perspective of raising capacity of Wujiang river,put forward a newway of belt transport to pass the dam as one way of freight organization to pass thedam, and select self-unloading vessels as a special ship type under the way of thisfreight organization.There are no self-unloading vessels in Wujiang river now. As a key element of thenew freight system,the demonstration of ship principal dimensions is very importantwhich can provide foundation of technology for guiding market in a scientific wayand promoting the standardization of Wujiang river’s ship type. So,this paper startsresearch work mainly revolving around the demonstration of self-unloading vessels’ship type of Wujiang river.As a new kind of ship type,self-unloading vessels in Wujiang river have theirspecific navigation environment and characteristics.Now the demonstration method of ship type is currently used including analytic hierarchy process method,fuzzycomprehensive evaluation method, principal component analysis method, grayrelational analysis method and DEA method, etc. But existing demonstration methodsof ship type have each shortcomings in the determination of weight coefficient,correlation of evaluation index and information of evaluation results.So this paperputs forward an improved DEA method, which not only can solve the adverse effectsof subjective and objective method for determining the weight coefficient in theprocess of determining,and the reasoning results can feedback more information atthe same time,which puts forward the direction to improve the ship type and providesa new idea for the research of demonstration method.This paper verifies the feasibility of the method improved by using the improvedDEA method,AHP method and DEA method for contrast demonstration on thespecific example. And then based on the analysis of characteristics and keytechnology of self-unloading vessels, build a comprehensive evaluation index systemin Wujiang river.Take measures of the network method combined with improvedDEA method to carry on demonstration and analysis of the self-unloading vessels inWujiang river and finally can get the best ship type plan of self-unloading vesselswith each cargo tonnage.By the application, verify the validity of the method.
