Study On The Integrated Conservation And Utilization Of The Ancient Pass-villages & Towns

Our country vast in territory, and there are many mountains and rivers in the region. As times goes on, there are many different passes between the mountains. Pass has tow functions: firstly, it can be a narrow gap, which blocks the enemy's advance in the battle; secondly, it can be passage, which facilitates communications and trades between different peoples. As the construction of pass, some residential areas are formed to solve the problems about garrison's living, because of the need of frontier defence and garrison. As the development of society, residential areas change into pass-village which has characteristic features.In the modern society, there are more and more problems about pass-village----it is disregarded by people, and can't accommodate to the development of society, eventually, disappeared, as no battle in the peace time and the high speed of economy development. The fundamental purpose of this paper is to make them excitated and make them accommodate with the modern life, and at the same time, prevent that it disappeared from the memory of people.The dissertation expatiates on the background at the beginning. Based on the statement of the thesis′s background and doing some related research, and the further analysis of pass-village and the historic area in it by practical project, the dissertation sums up the process,composing elements,characteristics and the problems of pass-village, brings forward the methods of integrated conservation and utilization of the ancient pass-villages&towns, and uses these methods in the practical project. Finally, the conclusion can be used abroad in protection and utilization of ancient villages and towns which are the same type of pass-villages.
