Wireless sensor network (WSN) is composed of sensor nodes that have theability of real-time sensing, data processing and wireless communication, these nodesare deployed in a given area, perceive, collect and process the interested informationin the network coverage area in the collaborative form, and sent to the base stationin order to make further decisions. By the limit of factors such as nodes’ quantity, thelimited processing ability, generally wireless sensor network (WSN) can’t adopt thecentralized way, but process the perceptive information in the form of self-organizing.However, the network coverage is the key foundation problem of the applicationresearch of wireless sensor network, these factors brings great challenge to it, so thecontrol of the network coverage is needed.Coverage control is planning nodes distribution and working state, in order toachieve maximum level of monitoring on the target area, under the condition ofhardware resources of the wireless sensor network are general limited. This topic willbe geared to the needs of maritime safety domain, on the basis of deep analysis of theinformation service demands in maritime safety domain, systematically study thetheories and methods of network coverage control and nodes collaborative schedulingin maritime monitoring sensor network. The research work started from maritimesensor network topology cover model, nodes coordinated scheduling and so on, usedthe methods of intelligent algorithm, game theory, etc., researched the balanceproblem between effectiveness of energy saving and nodes coordinated scheduling ofthe maritime sensor network coverage, finally realized the network nodes effectivelycovered in the maritime scenario. This paper researched the deterministic areacoverage problem which belongs to the coverage control problem from the coverageefficiency maximization of free distributed nodes, nodes’ collaborative coverage. Themain content of the research and innovations of this paper included the followingaspects.(1) From the angle of mobile nodes deployment, using the method of swarmintelligence algorithm to realize the optimized deployment for network coverage,through the establishment of network coverage model, analyzing the implementation process of genetic algorithm, artificial fish algorithm, particle swarm algorithm incoverage control problems, and using the different intelligent algorithms to analyzeand compare in detail.(2) From the angle of the static network coverage, using the Voronoi polygon tocompose the network coverage set, through the establishment of local Voronoipolygon coverage strategy, solving the maximum coverage set of the network.(3) From the angle of dynamic network coverage, using nodes collaborativestrategy, establishing the dynamic nodes scheduling model based on nodes game,composed a dynamic network coverage strategy.The research results show that coverage controlling strategy suggested in thepaper can adapt to the complex terrain with a effectively covered space topologystructure, and it can also balance the network coverage quality and network energyconsumption, therefore, applying this strategy to the large-scale network coverageproblem in a complicated actual environment is feasible.
