Earthquakes in recent decades indicated that because urbanization is accompanied bypopulation gathering, the city’s dependence on traffic lines becomes increasingly obvious. Thus, damage of traffic lines and loss of life and property caused by earthquakes are immeasurable.Several devastating earthquakes in history has repeatly demonstrated the significance of bridgeas a lifeline. When an earthquake broke out, the performance of each part of the bridge structureis concerned with the overall security of the bridge structure. Until now, the prestressedconcrete continuous beam bridge is still a majority. As earthquakes occur randomly, we are stillunable to predict earthquakes precisely with the current techology. Therefore, analysis of theseismic performance of prestressed concrete continuous beam bridge under seismic action isparticularly necessary. In this thesis, I use the finite element analysis software Midas civil to analyze PrestressedConcrete Continuous Girder Bridge seismic performance. I establish spatial finite elementstructural model with Seven Mile Lake in Jiujiang Bridge as the research object, from twoaspects(considering the pile of soil structure and not), to analyze the bridge structure using theresponse spectrum method and time history analysis method respectively, which also takes theprestressing impact into consideration. I also analyze the seismic response of the bridgestructure from the angle of displacements and internal forces under the influence of E1responsespectrum Elcent and Taft.According to the seismic analysis results in this thesis, this method can be applied tosimilar studies of continuous prestressed concrete girder bridges, which may provide certainreference significance to the design and construction of prestressed concrete continuous beambridges.
