Earthquake in the event of damage,both energy,a wide range and difficult to predict and so on,in the duration of tens of seconds of the earthquake can cause tremendous loss of life and property,compared with other natural disasters,the sudden And destructive features are particularly prominent.Some of the bridges in Wenchuan earthquake were damaged and damaged,which gave extra attention to the seismic design of bridges.In the complex terrain,bridge pier height is very difficult to consistent,high and low pier is a common bridge in our country.In this paper,a prestressed concrete continuous girder bridge is constructed.On the large-scale finite element ANSYS platform,modal analysis,transient analysis and response spectrum analysis are used to study the effect of short pier height on bridge structure deformation and internal force.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Using finite element analysis software ANSYS to creat finite element model of three different porfommances with heights of 38 m,58m and 20 m for each lower piers.Using different element to simulates girder,pier and pile-soil system.Calculate self-vibratio characteristic and natural frequency of vibration for each performace.(2)Using ANSYS analyzes three performances for time history method to research that how does the structures are response to earthquake when they have the pies of different heights.When does the the maximum displacement appears after inputing the seismic wave comes from lengthe ways and cross ways.Record shearing force and bending moment under the circumstances.Draw the displacement diagram of midpan.(3)Using response spectrum analysis load length way and cross way stimulate on three different performances.After that observe and record the transformation in two stimulates.Comparing wtih the results to time history method the place where the maximum displacement,shearing force and bending moment appear and the numericial vale.
