In recent years,with the electric wheel dump truck continued toward intelligent,complex,mechanical,electronic and liquid integration direction,the degree of compl-exity of dump truck is also more and more high,the traditional techniques have beenfar from meeting the needs of modern industrial production,once the equipmentdowntime due to failure,which it suffered huge losses,meanwhile,there are also aserious security problem and a huge social impact.Therefore,the study of the electricwheel dump truck upon condition monitoring and fault diagnosis,which it is veryimportant.In this paper,taking a company which is developing a large AC electric wheeldump truck as an example,in each control subsystem based on the existing maturediesel engine control systems,electric drive control system,main control system andmonitoring systems,such as using the artificial intelligence,computer controltechnology,modern network technology,which the condition monitoring and faultdiagnosis system of electric wheel dump truck are studied.This paper illustrates the background and significance of electric wheel dumptruck condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system in the current situation anddevelopment trend research at home and abroad.Then it tells the basic principles andmethods of the equipment fault diagnosis,and the most commonly used two kinds offault diagnosis expert system and artificial neural network method which is the basictheory of knowledge are introduced in the equipment fault diagnosis system.Andfurther,it conducts the demand analysis for what the various characteristicparameters of diagnosis system,and selects the best embodies the dump truckrunning parameters as objects fault diagnosis, then,according to the result ofrequirement analysis,at the same time,it combined with their strengths of expertsystems and artificial neural networks,which it adopted the fault diagnosis expertsystem based on neural network,and it introduced the basic principle and structure offault diagnosis expert system based on neural network.Subsequently,it describes theselection of the fault diagnosis system workflow and system development tools,and it specific describes the fault diagnosis expert system based on neural networkwhose knowledge representation,knowledge base establishment,reasoning mechanis-m and explanation mechanism are being in electric wheel dump truck fault diagnosissystem,the problem solving model is established,it select the error back propagationBP neural network model for training to learn.In addition,it has carried on the statemonitor design of hardware circuit,software for electric wheel dump truck,Hardwarecircuit is adopted based on CAN network communication circuit and each subcontrolsystem for transferring the characteristic parameters,while using the RS-485businterface for communication with the host computer,it collects the characteristicdiagnostic parameters from each subcontrol system and reliably sent to the hostcomputer,and design the minimum system circuit of status monitor.The mainfunction module about system are designed in the software,based on the system theneed of reality,state monitor software design changed the traditional sequentialprogramming ideas,quoted the real-time operating system DSP/BIOS,and concretelyintroduced the design process of realtime operating system.Finally,it introduces thedesign and implementation of the human-computer interaction interface,and itpresents the software and hardware a experiment platform to simulate and debug forfault diagnosis system.
