Large span cable-stayed bridge cable with light weight, small damping, andflexible large characteristics so on.In the wind and rain and other external stimuluseasily produce significant vibration, the service life of cable and safety of bridgeoperation will be a big threat, of the cable-stayed bridge is one of the key issues andurgent to solve. Common cable matigating method is to install dampers between thecable and deck,Magnetorheological damper with adjustable damping force size, fastresponse and stable performance characteristics. Mechanical properties of MRD andmechanical model, stay cable-Magnetorheological damper matigating system areresearched.Specific research contents include:(1) Basis on a large number of domestic and foreign literature, introduces thelarge span cable-stayed bridge cable vibration type characteristics and matigatingmechanism.Research status of application of damper for cable vibration control aresummarized at home and abroad.Mechanics model of magnetorheological damper ofconcerning research is emphatically summarized.(2) Respectively for a certain period and no participate in the work of themechanical properties of permanent magnet adjustable magnetorheological dampersand RD-1005type magnetorheological damper are comparative experimental studied,the influence factors of mechanical performance of two models magnetorheologicaldamper are spectively analyzed.(3) According mechanical properties of two models MR damper test results,and mechanism parameters mechanical model.Improvement of magnetorheologicaldamper hysteresis model parameters is proposed, And damper model is verificationadaptived.(4) Parameters optimization of stay Cable-Magnetorheological dampermatigating system for Dongting Lake bridge is carried out. The damper installationheight, the optimal damping coefficient have been determined.
