The land of Tianjin Harbor Industrial Zone is formed by the land reclamation inthe sea, the foundation soil comes from of the bottom of river and harbor, theconventional foundation methods of foundation treatment are difficult to obtain abetter effect. With the vacuum preloading tests are more and more used in softfoundation treatment, the reinforcement effect of vacuum preloading method obtainsmore identity. Plastic drainage board has replaced the traditional bag sand-wellbecause of the lower cost and convenient construction. Plastic drainage board is themost common vertical drainage system of vacuum preloading tests in recent years.However, according to the data of many years, the pore size of plastic drainageboard’s filtration membrane has great effect on soil lost, soil micro-structure andfoundation treatment effect.On the basis of preliminary studies of the mechanical mechanism clay cloggingstudy gradation from clay, geotextile pore size, hydraulic gradient and soil compactionand other factors studied, according to test results of clogging gradient, we analyzedifferent aperture geotextile clay content in different soil conditions clogging situation,research achievements and the main conclusions are as follows:(1)In the same premise of soil compaction, hydraulic gradient, geotextileequivalent aperture, the gradient ratio GR of the clogging test results increases withthe increase of clay content.(2)In the same premise of soil compaction, hydraulic gradient, clay in claycontent, the gradient ratio GR of the clogging test results increases with the increaseof geotextile equivalent aperture.(3)In the same premise of soil compaction, clay in clay content, equivalentaperture geotextile, the gradient ratio GR clogging of the test results increases withthe increase of the hydraulic gradient.(4)In the same premise of hydraulic gradient, clay content in the same clay,geotextile equivalent aperture, the gradient ratio GR of the clogging test increaseswith the increase of the test soil density.
