The21st century is an ocean century. All over the world, People’s attention arefocused on the blue ocean, which covered70%of the earth. Rich Marine resourcesmake the ship and ocean engineering an important part of the economic developmentand human development. In this field, ship slamming problem always get people’sattention and research. Not only for the slamming phenomena cause severe threat anddestruction to the ship itself, but also this a strongly nonlinear problem. Theory ofnumerical calculation method in hand cannot simulate the actual situation precisely.As a result, the problem must be given enough attention.Through review on a large amount of domestic and overseas information, thesimulation study of the wedge structure slamming into the water has been made usingCFD software in this paper. We got the distribution of speed, acceleration, slammingpressure etc. On the basis of the predecessors, a model has been designed andprocessed for model test. Through the data acquisition system, we got the wedge’sacceleration, pressure, dynamic response etc during the whole diving process, andcompared with the results of numerical simulation, which matched fine. By changingthe inclined angle of structure, the mass and the height of free fall, the sensitivityanalysis of structure slamming problem has been made, which presents a forecastmethod of three dimensional slamming loads and responses, in addition, provides avaluable reference for further study of the prow slamming problem.
