For a buoy tender, the key in buoy launching operation is the work after boarding ofbuoy anchor chain. Since using the former vertical capstan to winch may easily causeextrusion and twisting of anchor chain, the winching work can’t be completed withoutthe help of artificial pry bar. Besides, manpower support is also required in the releaseof anchor chain to separate the chain from vertical capstan. Such an operation mode ischaracterized with intensive labors and high operation risk, thus threatening the safetyof operators; besides it also demands much more operators, which encumbers therealization of marine automation.This Paper proposes a design philosophy using hydraulic ram chain-ranging winch:this new winch uses horizontal drum and hydraulic ram chain-ranging mechanism,which are installed on the proper place along deck axis. The hydraulic motor drives areducer and then an open gear pair to realize the rotation of its main drum. Meanwhile,hydraulic ram chain-ranging winch push a swing arm to reciprocate within the rangeof a certain angle, and drives the swivel plate thereon to guide the anchor chain towind on the drum orderly or release out of the drum evenly, thus realizing automaticchain ranging and improving the efficiency greatly.This Paper mainly covers the following works related to the design of hydraulic ramchain-ranging winch:1. Determine the overall layout of200KN hydraulic ram chain-ranging winch basedon the analysis of vessel function.2. Determine the type of drum assembly, ratchet mechanism and chain rangingmechanism based on the detailed analysis and calculation in the design of mechanicalstructure; establish the model of winch structure, and verify the model by simulationvia finite element analysis software.3. Design the parameters of hydraulic motor, reducer, big gear and pinion of gear pairand main shaft according to the transmission route of hydraulic winch.4. In the design of hydraulic system, reckon the type of motor and plunger pump atpower source based on the type of hydraulic motor and hydraulic ram, and designhydraulic circuit of the system.5. The control system guarantees hydraulic ram chain ranging will be finallysynchronous with ram rotation. The final synchronization is achieved by accuratemeasurement of gear teeth number, control of the displacement of chain ranging ramand dynamic control through PLC program. |
