Test System And Test Procedure Research On Noise Emitted By Accelerating Motor Vehicles

ISO has published a new test method ISO362-1:2007<Measurement of noise emitted by accelerating road vehicles—Engineering method> to replace the current test method ISO362：1998in2007. The new test method has changed the current test method whichuses the certain test gear, engine speed and vehicle speed during the testinto controlling the test speed, engine speed and making sure the test gearby the acceleration or the relationship between the engine speed andvehicle speed. The new test method will have more new requirements tothe test system and the test procedures, and it’s hard to using the currenttest equipment to fulfill the requirements of new test method. Then thenew test system and new test procedures are emergent needed to fulfillthe certification requirements of new standard.According to analyzing the differences between the new test methodand current test method, and the requirements and key technology of newtest method for the test systems, a fast test system for the new test methodof noise emitted by accelerating motor vehicles is invented byreorganizing the current simple test equipments. And also special testprocedures for different vehicles are formulated for passenger cars andcommercial vehicles.The technical schemes, test system structures, test theories andimplement methods of the fast test system are expatiated, and the prooftest for more than160different categories vehicles with the proper testprocedures were carried out. The proof test shows that the fast test systemcan be applied quickly and accurately to the test of different MT (or AT)passenger cars and MT (or AT) commercial vehicles.The fast test system of noise emitted by accelerating vehicles is oneof the best solutions for the test of new method of pass-by noise, and itcan carry out the tests quickly, accurately and with high efficiency. Itprovides technical support to the implementation of new regulation, andalso supplies technical references for the developments of pass-by noisetest and analysis systems and related fields.
