W Company Lean Production Line Design

As China continues to open the door to trade, China’s economy continues toaccelerate the process of integration into the global economy. More and moremanufacturing companies into China, especially in the automotive industry,competition becomes more intense. Unlike in the past, as consumers have only thefunction of the simple pursuit car occupants, but are increasingly seeking to enjoy thewhole process of driving. For enterprises, this is not only an opportunity but also achallenge. Innovation to be able to improve their competitiveness, and innovationmust be a sound manufacturing system architecture to support. First, theimplementation of lean production can improve production efficiency, increasecustomer satisfaction; Second, it could reduce the production area, reduce inventory;third, it can increase the production flexibly and improve staff morale; fourth, it alsocan save production resources, thus reducing operational costs. In recent years, manyscholars, entrepreneurs have carried out in-depth study and implementation in the leanproduction. Limitations of the current study is that lean production are concentrated inthe most studied post-production process through continuous improvement system toimplement lean thinking, But in the pre-production planning process into leanthinking to improve production lines, factories, enterprises Lean planning studiespresent study is far less than abundant.In this paper, the author study deeply of the lean production and summed up a setof suitable experience in pre-production line planning method combine with ownwork experience, as well as personally involved in the W’s a production line ofpre-planning work.Specific studies are as follows:Firstly, elaborated the basic theory with the relevant literature on lean productionto study the characteristics and commonalities of lean production at home and abroad;while I engaged with the current work on the production line planning and design planintroduced in detail.Secondly, make a presentation of the traditional production line planning, leadsto the concept of lean production line planning. Lean production line planning onbriefly defined and clear quantitative targets, the study describes the characteristicsand methods and tools. Thirdly, combined with the company’s S project W actual cases, as well as theauthor points throughout the course of study and work experience, summed up a set oflean production line planning steps, methods, combined with related charts, formulas,identified a number of key indicators calculation process, the final validation of theevaluation index, the completion of lean production line pre-planning work.Finally, the author describes the company’s own involvement W WPS system.This article describes the WPS system concepts and practical application, especiallyin conjunction with this product line pre-planning application, I hope will be helpfulfor all of you.
