The paper describes that under current good environment of domestic rail transit industry,the company,as key components manufacturer for rail vehicles,utilized lean idea,lean tooling and IE to optimize the EMU gear transmission production line systematically,totally increase the competitive advantage of quality,cost and delivery time,to meet the demand of domestic and international market.The paper chooses the production process EMU gearbox as the improving object.Through the analysis of value stream,find the none value-added phenomenon on the process of parts manufacturing and assembling,be clear about the improvement direction and propose corresponding improvement plan.Through work study improvement,optimization of production layout,standard operation leading-in,etc.achieve the production station beat production of assembly line,and improve the overall production efficiency.Through the reasonable planning and design of internal and external logistics,TOC application,Kanban,lean logistics,improve the discrete manufacturing process of level A parts such as driving and driven gear,gearbox housing,etc.establish small-lot rapid flow virtual production line,realizing the consistent and closely join of machining and assembly production takt,decrease WIP quantity and production cycle substantially,improve production operation level systematically.
