| In the past twenty years, with the rapid development of Chinese economy, the highwayconstruction entered a period of growth rapidly, the highway operation is also more mature, rational and networked. Guangdong province is an important coastal province in our country, and also one of the earliest provinces to start the project of expressway networktoll. With thepassage of time, the informationsof expressway networktoll project accumulated rapidly, andthe datasizegrowth hugely. This paper mainly discusses the features of traffic flow innetwork-expressway. Using themeasured data and the toll dataof expressway network, analysethe parameter characteristic ofexpressway traffic flow, establish the operation characteristics model ofnetwork-expressway,analyse the highway capacity and level of service, network structure characteristics, dynamicnetwork evolutionetc. The detail studies are shown as follow.Firstly, the toll data of expressway network is used, analysingthe parameterscharacteristics of network-expressway traffic flow,i.e. the space-time characteristic and therelationship among flow volume: speed, time andoccupancy in differentdistrict, expressways, points, days and times, are studied.Secondly, using the experimental data toanalyse thevehicle operating characteristics ofentry/exit ramp, weaving area and highway basic section.Create a model of the runningcharacteristics of network-expressway, using the deductive method.Thirdly, analyse thecapacity and level of servicein the independent intervalof a singlehighway.Fourthly, find the level ofservice indexes and evaluation system in network-expressway.Lastly,analysis of network structure evolution brought traffic flow parameters andoperating earnings changes. The method and conclusion referred in this paper are explorations in the study of trafficflow of expressway network. And it can provide some theoretical and practical references forthe further study of static and dynamic expressway network operation rules, planning andconstruction, optimization and transformation, assess the level of operation. |
