In recent years, with our country’s rapid economic development, electric powerload demand is getting increased increasingly. This is a necessary that using the highvoltage for long distance power transmission lines. However, However, the lightningstrike is has become the main reason of the500kV transmission lines’ breakdownaccidents. So it has important significance and applied value for analysis of lightningprotection performance in accordance with these breakdown accidents.Guangdong Province where Yangjiang region belong is one of the areas hit mostintensely and frequently by lightning. The lightning flashover fault of transmissionlines have a significant impact on the safety and reliability of500kV transmissionlines in this region.Based on the analysis of lightning protection situation of500kVtransmission lines in Yangjiang,choosd500kV diecang A line、diecang B line asresearch objects, the thesis uses the electrical geometric model and the leaderpropagation method to study the lightning shielding performance of electrictransmission lines.Research results show that how the grounding resistance、the towerstructure、the shielding angle、the insulator strings’length influence the rate of backstriking and shielding failure of transmission line tower. The results of this paper willpropose instruct basis for the design of lightning-prevention of500kV transmissionline tower which have the higher rates of lightning flashover, then it can be extendedrectifying and reforming of lightning-prevention of double-circuit transmission line inother areas. The thesis has practical application value、social benefit and directeconomical also.
