| The substation is a part of an electrical system that performs transformation of voltage,receiving and distribution of electric power, control of current and adjustment of voltage. Inrecent years, the number of substations in China is increasing along with the urbanization soas to satisfy the demand of production and living. Many of the original rural areas havebecome cities. A lot of substations are surrounded by residential communities. Electric powerconstruction is closely related to people’s life; however, there exist many problems though.Among them, noises generated by the substation seriously disturb people’s life. Therefore, itis of great significance to study the noise source of substation, analyze and find solutions tolower the noises for the future new construction and renovation of substations.Started from the hazards caused by noises on human health, this paper conducts overallanalysis of the equipment and supporting facilities of the substation so as to determine theprimary noise source. The results show that transformers are the primary noise source whilethe others are secondary sources that can be ignored. After study of the noise generationmechanism of the transformers, as well as analysis of the reasons why iron core, winding andcooling unit generate noises, and the noise transmission path, multiple noise reductionmeasures are proposed from the inside to the outside of the transformers. Among them, insidenoise reduction for the transformer focuses on the iron core and winding, including suchmethods as reducing magnetostriction and control winding preload. For outside noisereduction, the cooling unit and the entire transformer should be concerned. Methods are noisecontrol of the cooling unit and overall sealing of the transformer.In the end, regarding the issue of disturbing noises generated by the220kV Guangxingsubstation, a site survey is conducted. Based on the noise reduction measures put forward inthis paper, combining the environmental characteristics and utilization of existing resources inShantou, this paper proposes to carry out noise reduction renovation of the substation with aview to control the general noises within the national regulation, offering a quiet andcomfortable living environment for the surrounding residents. |
