With the development of China’s economy and society, as the motive power anddrive, the applications of the asynchronous motor are becoming more and morewidely. While the temperature rise of the asynchronous motor is important factor,which affects its reliability and life. In order to accurately understand the internaltemperature changing regularities of the asynchronous motor, this paper took athree-phase asynchronous motor1.5KW (Y90L-4) for research object, and analysedits temperature distribution under the various load conditions, and predicted itstemperature rise.Firstly, this paper builded the testing system of temperature rise of the motorstator based on Labview, data acquisition card and the external circuits. Under thevarious load conditions, using the testing system collected the temperature and currentof the multiple locations within the stator on real-time, displayed and stored thecollecting datas for analysis and processing. It lay a data foundation for the behindtheory analysis.Then, in considering the influences of the asynchronous motor’s cogging shape,the end resistance and core saturation, this paper established two-dimensionalfield-circuit coupled finite element model of the asynchronous motor by using finiteelement analysis software (ANSYS), and analyzed it by respectively using harmonicsimulation and pseudo-static transient analysis, and derived the distributing of themagnetic field, flux density and the stator current under the different load conditions,and compared the advantages and disadvantages of two methods. Based on theelectromagnetic field analysis and testing experiments, this paper calculated the lossesof each part of the asynchronous motor, thermal conductivity, coefficient of heat andso on. And established the two-dimensional and three-dimensional finite elementmodel, solved the steady and transient temperature field of stator and rotor ofasynchronous motor together by introducting the concept of effective thermalconductivity of the air gap under the different load conditions, and analysed thetemperature changing regularities of the asynchronous motor.Finally, this paper designed the neural network model of asynchronous motor’stemperature rise prediction under the stable load by using the neural network toolboxof Matlab, used the experimental datas for training and prediction, and achieved good results, which could promote the research of motor’s intelligent protection and havethe important value. The above analysises of the motor’s electromagnetic field andtemperature field both used the Ansys Parametric Design Language (APDL), whichcan avoid the complex GUI operations, and easy to modify operation, greatly improvethe efficiency. The analysis results compared with the experimental datas, theaccuracy met the engineering requirements. It verified the accuracy of analysis andcalculation of the asynchronous motor, and lay a foundation for the forecasting oftemperature rise and optimum design of the asynchronous motor.
