At present, most of composite solid propellant use isocyanate crosslinkedhydroxyl-terminated prepolymer as adhesive system. However,this system requires a highmoisture content and the property of propellant will be affected when the environmentalhumidity is high. Meanwhile,problems have been revealed in some novel solid additivessuch as hydrazinium nitroformate,ammonium dinitramide(ADN) and boron powders withhigher energy and lower characteristic signals that poor compatibility and stability areshower as the terminal hydroxyl adhesive/isocyanate curing agent system is applied. Thisarticle applied terminal alkynyl adhesive/azide curing agent to solid propellant and studiedthe combustion properties of new polyether-polytriazole composite solid propellant,thispropellant showed more superior burning performance than tranditional polyurethane solidpropellant.Based on the principles of click chemistry,polyether-polytriazole composite solidpropellant with different curing parameters(R value) were prepared by using PTPET as anadhesive and multifunctional polyazide compound as a curing agent,while its burning andthermal decomposition performance were studied. It was found that the R value has littleeffect on the combustion and thermal decomposition properties.The influence of combustion catalyst on the burning performance of propellantcontained RDX、HMX or CL-20was studied by adding Fe2O3、PbCO3or YB-2to theingredients of propellant. As revealed from the researching results,both of this threecatalysts could increase the burning rate and decrease the burning rate-pressure exponent.The improvement of YB-2on the combustion property of propellant was the mosteffective,while PbCO3was the worst. The thermal analysis results were consistent with theburning rate of propellant.Polyether-polyurethane composite solid propellant contained RDX、HMX or CL-20were prepared by using PET as an adhesive and polyisocyanate N100as a curing agent,then this paper researches contrastively the burning performance ofpolyether-polyurethane/polytriazole composite solid propellant. It was found thatpolyether-polytriazole composite solid propellant showed higher burning rate and lowerburning rate-pressure exponent than polyether-polyurethane composite solid propellant.
