Gate aisle system is an important component of Automatic FareCollection System (AFC) in urban rail transit. It has been paid more attentionby many countries because of its application prospect. The cores of thissystem include barrier mechanism and gate transit logic. The systemrecognizes and judges the state of human and other objects in the gate aisle,then promptly controls on the barrier mechanism to open or close.The studying goal is constitute analysis, function requirement andfeasible program of the electrical part of gate aisle system, for designing areasonable and reliable system. The paper deeply discusses three partsincluding the study for controlling the barrier mechanism, the design forsub-modules’ circuits and the arithmetic for gate transit logic.The barrier control module can control the motor clockwise running,reversed running and braking, so the door can rapidly and steadily open orclose, to ensure passengers with valid ticket can pass the aisle and intruderscan be barriered in a speedy and harmless way. Its electrical part includesmotor, electromagnet and proximity switch. The paper will discuss itsrequirement and design selection. Because of its complicated control system,it is necessary to study motor characteristic and its control theory. Based onthe DC motor’s characteristic, the paper will design a suitable circuit. Inaddition, it analyzes the motor noise and its solution in order to improve itsstability and reliability.The other parts include MCU module, power module, sensor module andso on. The paper studies the electrical characters and designs correspondinghardware circuits. In order to meet the compliance challenge for EMC, it isimportant to use EMC technique. Gate transit logic is an important mark of the intelligentized gate.Studying the modules of body and other objects, this paper designs theposition of the sensors which is used for the recognition. With methods ofarea recognition and key points recognition, the arithmetic is establishedwhich can correctly judge the state of objects in the aisle for the controlmodule.This paper has finished the design for gate aisle control system. On thetest result of the proto, this design can satisfy the requirement which isdemanded at the beginning of the paper.
