With the continuous development of power electronics technology,advancedaircraft increased electricity consumption, the number of cables on the aircraft isincreasing,at the same time, Problems are frequently caused by arc fault. Aircraft arcfault is due to the grid wires and other electrical insulation aging, damaged, airbreakdown caused by humid air or loose electrical connections caused by other causes.Arc energy, great harm, a serious threat to the safety of equipment and personnel. It isbecause of the great arc fault hazard, especially in recent years as an aircraft accidentcaused by arcing faults increasingly prominent, arc fault detection more and moreurgent,research for arc fault is also increasing.Arc fault module combined with solidstate power controller, not only make the aircraft without circuit overload, shortcircuit caused the failure, but can affect flight safety accident caused by aircraft fromthe arc fault.This paper focuses on electrical arc fault system of aviation, starting fromthe characteristics of air arc. this paper present a design scheme of combined withfrequency domain, carries on the design to the hardware arc fault detection device,andhave developed DC solid state power controller with arc-fault detection modular,And do the function test of turn-on and shutoff,anti-delay protection test, rapid protecttest and DC string protection strong electric arc test. Compared with the conventionalcase according to a current overload (I2t),it Can effectively detect or prevent arc fault.
