Research On The Process Of Multi-user Collaborative Product Design Oriented To Conceptual Design

Conceptual design is at the first stage of product design and is the most important periodwhere creation occurs with the least constraint. only a small amount of money and time are cost inconceptual design but the follow design activities are greatly plays influenced by it. The complex-function product are needed as the development of market and the customer requirement and canhelp the company enhance the market share. In the early stage of conceptual design, getting theright customer requirement is critical which decides the right way of designing. The type ofcustomer and the process of getting customer requirement are mainly discussed, and a method ofassessing the importance of customer requirement using the fuzzy sets and entropy is put out. Thecharacteristics of site-distributed product conceptual design is given.Evolutionary algorithm is most used in the condition of mathematical computation or thepath planning. In recently years, many researches on the application of evolutionary algorithm intothe field of computer aided design have been done. Based on the advantage of global optimizationof genetic algorithm, the coding system of GA, and the method of how to solve multi-targetoptimization problem are mainly discussed.In order to improve the coordination among companies for them to save time and cost, basedon the Internet technology, development of multi-user collaborative conceptual design system hasbeen developed. The system uses the Browser/Server three level structure, applies the CGI andASP technology. The system is developed in the Windows OS using the Java language andsupported by the Microsoft SQL Server Database. The system has been proved to be valid with adesign example of smartwatch.In the end of the dissertation, some conclusions have been drawn and the future directions inthe field are given.
