Progressive collapse is caused by the initial local failure in the component which willspread and eventually lead to the collapse of the entire structure. Due to the continuouscollapse in many cases is not commensurate with too large collapse, and this cause ofincidents appear too large, so this phenomenon has been growing concern. It is noteworthythat Technical specification for concrete for concrete structures of tall buildings(JGJ3-2010) has made a detailed introduction of continuous collapsed design and analysis.Based on the engineering background, this article mainly has carried on the followingseveral aspects work:(1)This article analysis that demolition of component method can realisticallysimulate the process of structure collapse thus better able to evaluate the performance ofthe structure to resist progressive collapse.(2)This article mainly refers to the Technical specification for concrete for concretestructures of tall buildings (JGJ3-2010). It analyses an8degree fortification and five-storyreinforced concrete structure’s anti-continuous collapse by using the linear elastic staticdemolition component method with Midas/Building analysis software. Through increasingthe span of the structure under the same conditions draws the following conclusion:first, appropriate increase in the beam end bottom and top surface bearing capacity betweensteel will play a very active role to prevent continuous collapse in continuous resistanceanalysis of the structure; Second, analysis of related beams of each span structure in eachcondition of the member beyond the moment failure percentage can get that the firstdamage is often short span beams, so attention should be paid to the short span beam ofthe structure in the design; Third, through the force analysis of normal section of thebeam structure, known inside the demolition column structure when maximum continuouscollapse resistance, followed by the demolition of the short side of column, in the long sidecolumn, when the demolition of Angle structure continuous collapse resistance is weakest.(3)In this paper, the article applies the linear static analysis dismantle componentsmethods recommended in the U.S. GSA specifications and the Technical specification for concrete for concrete structures of tall buildings (JGJ3-2010) to analyze a five-storyreinforced concrete frame structure on comparison of anti-continuous collapse. Through acomparative project examples analysis of anti-continuous collapse we obtained: theanalysis about the ability of anti-continuous collapse in reinforced concrete frame structurecomponents with our specification is more conservative than with GSA specification.
