Permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) does not like traditional motorwhich needs a series of intermediate transmission links on driving the load. So PMLSM hasthe advantages of high thrust, low-loss, fast response speed and small electrical timeconstant and so on. It is widely used in logistics, industrial equipment, information andautomation, transportation and civil, military and other aspects. However, there’re somelimitations in the motor,such as the effect of nonlinear perturbation that generated fromsimplification of motor structure. So it is necessary to take some control strategies tostabilize the motor performance. In this paper, the control strategies of restraining thrustfluctuation of PMLSM were researched.In the research, firstly, the motor transformation was analyzed under three kinds ofcoordinate system. And Matlab/Simulink simulation software was used to establish themathematical model of PMLSM which laid the mathematical basis for the application ofmotor control. Then based on SVPWM, PMLSM vector control was analyzed, and theresult of vector control under the Matlab/Simulink software simulation was analyzed. Theresults proved that vector control had a good tracking effect. But there was some fluctuationof the thrust and speed by analyzing the simulation result, so it is necessary to improve thesystem’s stability. In order to achieve the effective control effect of restraining thrustfluctuation, the direct thrust control and the direct thrust control based on fuzzy PI werestudied, the models of the two control strategy were set up under Matlab/Simulink softwaresimulation. And the simulation results demonstrated that direct thrust control had quickresponse, and these control methods can obtain good control effect that the thrustfluctuation reduced greatly and the system is more stable comparing with vector control.The control system provided the foundation of further research of the linear motor.
