SR (Switched Reluctance Motor) has characteristics of the simple structure, low cost,flexible control and a wide speed range etc.and has great potential in an electric vehicledrive motor aspects.Because of its structural features, when it runs it must match thecorresponding governor closely. Its governor is a new gear transmission system, which hasa better speed performance, but there are still many problems. Such as the motor torqueripple, noise, these issues are still restricting switched reluctance motor is applied to theresearch and development of electric vehicles.Drawing on previous research results, the author briefly discusses the application ofthe switched reluctance motor in electric vehicles, and discusses its advantages anddisadvantages. Briefly addressed that the switched reluctance motor working principle andthe motor winding inductance mode.Under finite element analysis software environment,there is an establishment of a two-dimensional model of switched reluctance motor, andthere is an analysis of the motor static magnetic properties. Thus we can get switchedreluctance motor motor flux characteristic clusters.This article is about speed governor design of switched reluctance motor rated powerat300W. There is detailed analysis of switched reluctance motor advantages anddisadvantages of different control methods. We can uses voltage chopper to control themotor speed governor to achieve reluctance motor of constant torque. Using the two-phasewindings on both conduction mode to start8/6pole switched reluctance motor, and analyzethe conduction mode synthesis torque, To curve each phase torque curve plotted andsynthetic torque. This governor considers ATmega16microcontroller as the main controlunit. Integrated position sensing form the speed negative feedback, and through the PMWcontrol technology, we can drive the main switch of the power converter device, and toachieve the normal operation of the motor, and to ensure electrical safety combined withvoltage, current, overheating protection circuit. At different load torque, There is themeasurement characteristics of the motor efficiency, power factor reaching the rated speed.Based on each phase current waveform of the rated speed and the various load,Thencompare the experimental results.
