In recent years, CFRP has been widely applied in the field of structurereinforcement. And prestressed CFRP structure is the hot research now. But the keyproblem of prestressed CFRP is the value of prestress. There are the result ofexperience, the result of the experiment, and the result of finite element, but they arenot the same usually. Because of those questions, there are also lack of relatedregulations to CFRP reinforcement in the current criterion.The article will do some research of prestressed CFRP with the finite elementsoftware and the conclusion results by other scholars. First of all, this article discussesthe present situation of structure reinforcement by prestressed CFRP. According toabove discussion, we will make sure our method to analysis the prestressed CFRP.Then we will determine the parameters of the model material, the size of the modeland related standards, to establish a finite element model. For reduce the time lost onthe calculation, we will downsize the model. For finding a reasonable model, thispaper will testify the model by the current criterion and some summaries from otherarticles. Then, we will analysis the RC beam, RC beam with CFRP and RC beamwith prestressed CFRP. Compared the above studies, to find out the cracking load,failure load and the limit of deflection. At last, Comparing every beams’ results, tofind out the best value of the prestress.We find some regularities including the best thickness, the best length ofreinforcement prestressed CFRP and the best value’s rang of prestress. The bestthickness and length can be concluded by the criterion, but the best value’s rangethrough finite element calculation and the results’ comparison. Through thecalculation of this article, we also find some stress’s development laws of steel andconcrete materials.Compared with previous studies, this paper’s main innovation points are asfollowed:1. Using the finite element method and combining with authoritative conclusion,multi-angle to judge the state of the structure; 2. The reasonable thickness, length of CFRP, reduce the the gap of the finiteelement calculation and the actual situation, also offer possibilities to save material instructure reinforcement for the future;3. Different results from many groups of prestress value, reduce the results’randomness;I hope this article conclusion of CFRP reinforcement can be some useful forengineers.
