Major accident by the transmission line system damage, which caused by theseismic, wind loads and instability of foundation, resulting frequent occurrence.Thebackground and significance of the subject, the research status of line system,structure control technology and the research progress of cable structures are brieflyintroduced at the beginning of this paper. Then, based on the basic theory of finiteelement analysis of nonlinear structures derived tangent stiffness matrix and secantmatrix of four-node cable elements and space bar element, discussed the assemblyproblem of the global stiffness matrix under the whole coordinate system, combinedbeam element model set up the finite element model of tower line system whichassembled the global stiffness matrix of structure.A brief introduction of iterative algorithm and convergence criterion in structuralprogram designing is given. Then, determined the iterative algorithm andconvergence criteria of subsequent sections of this article, and made a detailedintroduction of the program implementation process. Through the static calculationsexamples, the correctness of the calculation program of the four-node cable elementsand space bar elements under both large and small sag. Through brief introduction ofdynamic characteristics, according to finite element theory, the dynamiccharacteristics of the cable unit correlation analysis was done. The correctness of thedynamic characteristics of the program has been verified by comparing thecalculation results with the literature and finite element software. Through thecalculation of the tower lines system model of the actual project, the correctness ofthe dynamic characteristics of the program is further validated.Then focuses on the friction damper mechanical model,including hysteresismechanical properties and principle of dry friction damper elements and elasticfrictional damping elements. Basic common method, Newmark β method, instructural dynamic analysis, established time-history iteration step and convergencecriteria of a power line system with friction damper and also the calculation of thekey issues are briefly described. Dased on the finite element model of tower-linesystem, made a discussion about damping performance of damper on the structure, which subjected typical seismic waves, in third different cases, and came to afavorable conclusion. According to the same research ideas, discussed tower-linestructure with TMD damping effect in Chapter V.At the end of the paper, a brief summary and conclusions is done and given, andalso a proper prospect for a number of deficiencies in this article have done.
