Long span cable-stayed bridge is an important transportation hubproject and the lifeline engineering. If it is destroyed by an earthquake, will seriously affect the development of the earthquake relief work. Therefore,the research of comprehensive system of the seismic performance of the cable-stayed bridge is cruch time.In this paper, with the main span steel box girder of single tower cable-stayed bridge as the research object, the cable-stayed bridge vibration characteristics are analyzed, the damping properties of viscous damper and cable-stayed bridge girder and abutment seismic couplingrelation are studied, the main work includes the following aspects:(1)The development history and present situation of research on seismic responses of long-span cable-stayed bridge at home and abroad were reviewed in this paper, the seismic wave selectionand input method of bridge seismic response analysis.(2)Using finite element software, the cable-stayed bridge parts components(such as, cable bridge tower, girder and piers, pile foundation and bearing, etc.) using a reasonable way to simulation of the cable-stayed bridge with and without damper is established with damper cable-stayed bridge the two models, the natural vibration characteristics of cable-stayed bridge without damper is analyzed.(3)Cable-stayed bridge with and without damper damper model is analysed by nonlinear time history analysis, through the different input parameters of viscous dampers, a comparative analysis of cable-stayed bridge under seismic wave to input three pylons and girder displacement, bottom bending moment and shear force, than choose to obtain a set of reasonable damping parameter, identified as the design parameters of damper.(4)In EL Centro at Site under the action of seismic wave, the main girder of cable-stayed bridge abutment and collision analysis; In setting with the optimum damping parameters of viscous dampers, the coupling analysis of the main girderand the abutment collision, study the effect of damper of main girder and the abutment collision.
