In this paper, the running mechanism and hydro pneumatic suspension of320tons miner truck were studied. The developing course and status quo of domestic andforeign research on heavy miner truck were presented, the gap of heavy miner truckand hydro pneumatic suspension technology with domestic and foreign were analyzed.The research purpose, meaning and content were demonstrated.Firstly, the structure characteristics of320tons miner struck and hydropneumatic suspension was introduced, based on the characteristics, the designrequirements of running mechanism were raised, and the research scheme of thispaper was formulated.Based on the design requirements, the stress condition was analyzed and thestructure of running mechanism was designed. Then, the main dimensions andassembly relation of each component were preliminary designed, the layout scheme ofelectric wheel was gave, and the preliminary three-dimensional structure of column,swing arm and drive axle housing were devised.Nonlinear finite element analysis was used for the preliminary runningmechanism, including stiffness and strength analyze of column, swing arm and driveaxle housing. Based on the analysis result, an improved design was conduct to thecolumn, then the stiffness and strength were checked, the results showed that theimprovement was successful.Topology optimization was conducted to the lightweight design of drive axlehousing and swing arm. An entity layered topology optimization design method wasraised for the drive axle housing which require continuous sealing structure. After thelightweight design, the stiffness and strength were checked, the weight of drive axlehousing and swing arm loss by43.3%and36.3%respectively.Fatigue reliability analysis was conducted to the swing arm. Based on the fatiguelife theory, the fatigue life of swing arm of three working conditions was calculated.According to the data of material fatigue test, the fatigue limit of material and swingarm was calculated, then the reliability was obtained. The results showed that theswing arm meet the requirements of fatigue reliability.Finally, the hydro pneumatic suspension of320tons miner truck was studied. The main structural parameters was designed, the damping and stiffnesscharacteristics were analyzed, and the influence of main structural parameters ofhydro pneumatic suspension on system characteristics were analyzed.The study of this paper not only complete the design of the project requirements,but also provide beneficial reference to the other heavy miner truck productionenterprises in domestic.
