Because of its advantage of large output torque, structure compact large swingangle, etc., spiral swing cylinders have been used in a lot of various engineeringequipment applications. However, the current domestic spiral swing cylinder is alsolargely depended on imported products, the research of spiral swing hydrauliccylinder is still in its infancy, the theoretical knowledge of spiral swing hydrauliccylinder design, performance analysis, sealing device research yet formed system,andcorresponding processing requirements can not be achieved, and therefore there is nocorresponding mature products available. Therefore, the obtained results from thesubject of the study of the structure, sealing device research, efficiency and strengthcomponents of the hydraulic cylinder swing spiral have important implications for thespiral swing cylinders localization.In this paper, the production model for the German company ECKART spiralswing hydraulic cylinder for the study, the main research work is as follows:(1)Based on consulting the domestic and overseas data of spiral swing hydrauliccylinder, reference to the spiral swing cylinders technical data of German ECKARTcompany production, analysis spiral swing hydraulic cylinder works and itscomponents, completed the main parts of the spiral structure of the swing cylinders—two-stage helical gear pair and bearing type, cylinder bore and cylinder headstructure and connection, the connection screw size, oil inlet and outlet and otherstructures.(2)On the basis of the structure of the helical hydraulic swing cylinder and thesealing mechanism, completed the spiral design of the sealing means of the helicalhydraulic swing cylinder; using ANSYS software, in the situation of the samepre-compression, the same hydraulic oil pressure, and the same piston and thediameter of the o-ring seal, comparative analysis of the maximum contact stress anddeformation of O-ring seals and seal combination cell to circle, fitting the contactstress graph, draw the roughly curve contact stress and fluid working pressure; analysis of the two sealing performance of the sealing member to guide the design ofthe seal of the helical hydraulic swing cylinder.Completed the establishment of thehelical hydraulic swing cylinder three-dimensional model and the dynamic assemblyto guide the helical hydraulic swing cylinder assembly by using SolidWorks software.(3)Deduced the theoretical formula of the contact stress between tooth surfacesof helical gear pair based on Hertz contact theory; analysis of the affecting factors ofcontact stress, and based on the analysis results, proposed measures to improve itscontact stress.(4)Checked the shaft and connecting screw to verify its ability to meet spiralingswing cylinders during normal work requirements by using SolidWorks and ANSYSsoftware.And import analysis result of the drive shaft into fatigue, and analyzed thefatigue life of the drive shaft to verify whether a long service life to satisfy therequirements.(5)Analysis the affecting factors of the overall efficiency of the helical hydraulicswing cylinder and propose improvement measures. Finally, analyzed the life factorsand proposed the method to increase its service life.In the paper, the design and performance of seals spiral swing hydraulic cylinderdesign, sealing device analysis, efficiency analysis and the results of the check andother key components, the actual swing spiral hydraulic cylinder design has someguidance value.
