With the rapid development of urbanization development and construction,insome large cities, high-rise buildings have been emerging, and become an importantsymbol of the degree of modernization in a city. Unlike high-rise buildings, becauseof the great size, functional complexity, the relative concentration of persons andgoods, high degree of electrification and automation, more fire hazards in thehigh-rise buildings, a slightest mistake can easily cause a fire. Once fire occur in superhigh-rise building, it can spread extremely rapidly. Huge smoke has great harm tohuman health, rescue evacuation, and the property.Fire load is the total releasing heat within all capable combustibles in thebuilding, is the basis of the size and severity of fire. The fire load of data mainlydetermined by the function of the buildings,and associated with many other factors,such as the completion of the construction, decorative style, choice of decorationmaterials, and cultural differences and other factors.In this paper, the research object is a particular high-rise building. First, thearchitectural form of the building,occupant density, smoke conctrol system and otherfire protection systems have been investigated, then we made an on-site investigationof a representative office area about the fire load distribution and amount, calculatedthe amount of the fire load of the super high-rise building, and estimated the size ofthe fire that may occur within the super high-rise buildings. Finally, FDS was used tosimulate the fire in order to obtain some smoke spread laws. According to thesimulation datas, evaluate the damage to the building and personnel, to provide theappropriate basis for the design evacuation and fire performance in high-risebuildings.Because of the great dangers of super high-rise building fires, so the study on thesmoke spread law of high-rise building fire is very urgent and necessary to safetyevacuation. And the research is not deep enough about the smoke diffusion laws in thehigh buildings in China. Therefore, the research of this subject has a positive meaningto fire smoke flow and personnel evacuation in the high-rise buildings.
