Nowadays, the safety voyage of ships and vessels depend on stable dynamicalsystem and perfect ship system, which the main circulation part of this two systemsare perplexing pipes. It is vital to detect and maintain the pipes of the two systems intime. Because it’s working condition is wet and vibration for a long time, which maymake pipes leak or crack. Based on the requirements of ship steady monitoring andflexible deploying, this paper designed and developed a ship pipe leaking monitordevice.This device was designed according to optical fiber sensing technologies. Due toSagnac interferometer is highly sensitive, easy structure and anti-electromagnetic, thispaper proposed a new type electro-optical sensor system used in ship pipe leakingmonitoring, which based on linear type Sagnac interferometer. On account of fourelements, preventing the low frequency noise pollution, eliminating the zerofrequency blind spots, avoiding repeating zero frequency and facilitating zerofrequency appearing, this system find the best range of sensor fiber as the detector ofthe monitor device according to selecting the length of eliminating blind spots.Meanwhile, the best range of sensor fiber was changed by acoustic fiber to install inthe site.For keeping monitor device anti-disturbance performance, stability, fault-tolerantcapability and responding speed, the optical path should be designed to work steadilyand accurately. This paper finished making optical power meter security alarm circuit,carrier circuit and electric polarization control circuit for the optical path systemnormally working. Then wrote the debug software of upper machine and did thecalibration experiment for optical power meter security alarm circuit. The keyboardand screen design was made for carrier circuit. A polarization control algorithm waspresented for electric polarization control circuit. The control algorithm couldcalculate the maximum optical power by GA and simulated annealing algorithm. Andthe circuits with the detectors were installed in one case, which realized designprocess of monitoring system device.Lastly, this paper made the case installing layout of the system and it is veryimportant to prolong life span of the device. Distribution design, sound insulationdesign, screen interface design and keyboard design has also been made. Afterassembling, a simulated experiment has been made in the factory air-condition room.The results showed that the device could detect the pipe leaking single accurately andin real time and it could also work in a long time when happened leaking.
