Mechanical noise, Hydrodynamic noise and Propeller noise is the main noise ofsubmarine. With the effective control of Mechanical noise, when the speed of submarine ishigher than6kn, Hydrodynamic noise problems highlighted. The research onHydrodynamic noise of plate, single and double cylindrical shells has importantengineering significance. Based on the analytical method and the semi-analytical andsemi-numerical method, the vibration and sound radiation characteristics of plate, singleand double cylindrical shells were studied.According to the stochastic theory, the vibration and sound radiation of structurewhich excited by turbulent boundary layers mainly consists of two parts:(1) The powerspectra density expression of the excitation caused by turbulent boundary layer;(2) thefrequency response function considering fluid-structure interaction. The power spectradensity expression of the excitation caused by turbulent boundary layer given by Corcosas input, Combined with the frequency response function considering fluid-structureinteraction, the power spectral density of vibration and sound radiation characteristics ofstructure is calculated, this method is referred as analytical method. The power spectradensity expression of the excitation caused by turbulent boundary layer given by Corcos isdispersed into matrix form as input. Combined with the frequency response functionmatrix considering fluid-structure interaction calculated by FEM/BEM methods, thepower spectral density of vibration and sound radiation characteristics of structure iscalculated, this method is referred as semi-analytical and semi-numerical method.The comparative analysis of calculated results of structure has authenticated the twomethods is feasibility and correctness. The focus of the numerical calculation is theanalysis of the influence of the parameters on the vibration and sound radiationcharacteristics of single and double cylindrical shells. These parameters include length,thickness, radius of the shell and the collocation of ring-stiffeners, stringers and splints.The discussion is favorable for noisy reduction of the single and double cylindrical shells.Based on analytical method, we establishment a set of user-friendly, fast, maintainable,with independent intellectual property rights of single and double cylindrical shells’ hydrodynamic noise calculation software.
