Cable force adjustment can be used to improve the internal force state of a cable-stayedbridge. Combined with the project background of the Xiangtan3rd bridge, this dissertationresearches the construction control technology of cable force adjustment of cable-stayedbridge in operation period. The research work and main results of this dissertation are asfollows:(1) Research situation about cable force adjustment of cable-stayed bridge and somerepresentative examples are illustrated. The reason and purpose of cable force adjustment areanalysed, and the conventional approach in design stage of cable force adjustment arediscussed. The purpose and the task of construction control for cable force adjustment areintroduced.(2) The theory and method of construction control for cable force adjustment areintroduced, and the influence matrix method for cable force optimization is introduced. Thedetermination method for optimization objective and scheme of cable force adjustment arepresented.(3) The technical state of Xiangtan3rd bridge before adjustment, and the finite elementmodel are established based on actual parameters. The degree and scheme of cable forceadjustment are determined based on the influence matrix method(4) The construction monitoring system is established, whose content mainly includesstress, cable force, elevation and temperature, etc.(5) The construction control result is analysed, the method of construction control ofcable force adjustment is discussed and summarized.
