The cable is one of the key parts of cable-stayed bridge. It takes on most part of the load in constructing and constructed of cable-stayed bridge. Rational cable force can guarantee the structure safety in construction and make the structure's internal force reasonable after construction. Through the adjustment of cable force, structure's internal force can come out in reason. Because of its peculianties in design and construction, Gonghe cable-stayed bridge adopts the second stretching method as the cable force controlled method and succeeded at last. The cable forces design and cable forces adjustment in design and construction of Gonghe bridge are maily studied in article. The following work has been done:1. Basic calculate methods for rational cable force under dead load are expounded and summarizeded. The rational cable force under dead load of Gonghe bridge is calculated by the least bending strain energy method2. cable force controlled methords are introduced. The initial construction cable force of Gonghe cable-stayed bridge are calculated by trial methord based on anvance analysis3. Significance and functions of the cable force adjustment are introduced. Advantages of the influence matrix method for cable force adjustment are discussed. The calculation and construction of cable force adjustment of Gonghe cable-stayed bridge after closure are studied.4. Droops affection for cable's angle and force is analysed and applied droops-modified formula of cable's angle and force are given. The modified calculation about cable's angle and force of Gonghe bridge is done.5. Measure methods of cable force used in construction of cable-stayed bridge are introduced and factors that lead errors are studied. The available steps to minish errors are brought forward.The successful application of the second stretching method of cable force in Gonghe bridge's construction enrichs the principle of construction control of cable-stayed bridge, and it also offers valuable experiences for similar bridge's construction in future.
