The development of the expressway has brought significant economic benefits. Thefrequent occurrence of extreme weather also caused severe security risk to expresswayoperators. This essay studies the demand of active light-induced facility set in low visibilityweather, analyzes the strategy and design concept and confirms set principle.This paper relies on low visibility weather active light-induced experimental facilities. Itverifies the rationality of active light-induced facility set strategy and design concept andshows the actual results of active light-induced facility in a different visibility conditions andunder different operating modes. The test results show that the induction set up facilities cangreatly improve the capacity and safety in low visibility conditions expressway. In this essay,the active light-induced facility set strategy was proposed to some sections in Urumqi eastexpressway (Gangou interchange to Midong interchange) by analyzing actual data.Through this study, the active light-induced facility set principles and methods in lowvisibility weather conditions are proposed, which can provide a theoretical guidance andtechnical support for project implementation.
