Frozen winter snow caused slippery road surface, it often leads to a major accident, causing heavy casualties and property losses, the usual method that is put forward bytransportation department at home and abroad to solve this problem is using snow-meltingagent.This method has many disadvantages:it is inefficient to melt the snow;it will alsopollute the environment and corrode the road structure;the performance and the longevity ofthe road and bridge will be seriously damaged.Granulated crumb rubber act as aggregates blending in the asphalt mixture paving theself-stress pavement not only to eliminate snow and ice, but also is a rational use of discardedtires. Such technology will join the waste and broken tire rubber particles into the asphaltmixture, using the high elastic properties of granulated crumb rubber to improve thepavement’s overall elastic properties, thus the vehicle load stress to the pavement will get tothe purpose of ice-breaking and snow-melting.At present, the domestic and international has preliminary studied that this pavement hasearly damage and poor durability. Therefore, to analyze the reason of flexible pavement earlydestruction, to solve the durability of the granulated crumb rubber asphalt mixtures, toanalyze the damage mechanism of the ice etc, and these are the keys to the success of thegranulated crumb rubber asphalt pavement anti-ice technology. to solve these problems, researches as follows were taken in this issue:(1)The establishment of micro-discrete element model. To open graded and gradedasphalt rubber particles based model, starting from the inside, calculated under load asphaltrubber particles, ordinary asphalt force and deformation characteristics, made from amechanical point of rubber asphalt pavement easy the reason to break loose and find out therelationship between pavement bearing capacity and deformation of the road surface, and as abasis for further improvement of the road durability.(2)Improve the mix design. With microscopic model and proposed measures to improveroad durability basis proposed rubber particles mix asphalt mixture design method andcomparative analysis of the gap-graded and continuous gradation of two rubber particlesasphalt pavement performance. (3) Depending on the cause of the rubber particles loose asphalt pavement damagemicrostructure analysis results, study the current specification of water stability test methodsand scattering properties of asphalt Test Method for Resistance, and made of rubber granulesfor asphalt durability test Methods for Assessing and mixed with ordinary asphalt comparativeanalysis, the evaluation index for asphalt rubber particles durability.(4) From the point of view of micromechanics, we propose a new micro-mechanicalmodel that can predict a variety of composite material elastic modulus. Based on this model, this paper theoretical and measured values asphalt rubber particles were compared, analyzedthe impact of the various components of the asphalt rubber particles overall modulus ofelasticity.(5) Establish a finite element model for ice. Fracture mechanics based on the root strainenergy density factor criterion as the basis to judge the force of ice damage, of temperature, ice thickness, affect the elastic modulus between the three de-icing capabilities and indooraddition ice simulation test, the results were verified.(6) Paved road test, road test on the use of performance were observed, verification testroad de-icing effect.
