When inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer determines the ratio of traceelements and isotopes, if the mass peaks of interference component overlap the masspeaks of analyzed elements, this will seriously affect the measurement of the targetelement. The most commonly used method to eliminate mass spectrometry interference is collision&reaction cell technology. The ability to eliminate the interference ofmultipole collision&reaction cell critically depends on the focusing and transmissioncapability.Therefore,this paper focuses on the focusing and transmission capability ofmultipole collision&reaction cell. Select three groups ions which are respectively therepresentative of small mass lions, intermediate mass ions and large mass ions.Findthe solution of the suitable equation of each ion and obtain the displacement that isperpendicular to the central axis. Simulate ions passing through the quadrupole,hexapole,octopole electric field, obtain one point in x,y axis in each electric field Bysuperimposing the trajectories of a group four different initial phases ions can obtainthe cross section. Study the focusing ability of the multipole rods throughcomparatively analyzing the displacement which is perpendicular to the central axisand cross section, the conclusion is that the focusing ability of heaxpole structure oroctopole structure is more outstanding than quadrupole structure.In this paper, the transmission rate of ions is obtained by solving the equations ofmotion and do the research on the transmission ability through the transmission rate,and obtain the conclusion that the transmission performance of octopole structure isoptimalOn the basis of numerical solution and computer simulation, put forward thedesign of critical part of the circuit and manufacture the RF power which is inaccordance with the best transmission performance of the octopole structure. Test theperformance and stability of the circuit, Show that the RF power meet the requirementof octopole collision&reaction cell.Give the processing technologies andmeasurements of the various components, complete the mechanical part of thecollision&reaction cell.
