In recent years, with the improvement of people’s living standards and the increasing ofChinese vehicle population, the safety problem of motor vehicles has become increasinglyprominent. Strengthening motor vehicle operation management and paying attention to thesafety of motor vehicles detected are important issue not only for entire community especiallythe public security traffic management department to study and solve, but also providing agood opportunity for the rapid development of China’s motor vehicle safety technologytesting.Braking performance of the car is an important indicator which is about the securitytechnologies of vehicle running condition and the detected project, which is directly related toroad safety. Bench vehicle braking performance GB7258-2012provides the test vehiclebraking performance criteria of reaction force roller brake tester, including the percentage ofbraking force and axle load (or automobile mass), the percentage of the coaxial left and rightwheel braking force maximum process difference and the maximum braking force (or axleload). But in the actual testing, road test are often pass through but bench test don’t passthrough or bench test is ideal but don’t pass through by road test. In view of this situation, it isnecessary to do some research in GB7258-2012on the percentage criteria of the former, rearaxle braking force, the percentage of the coaxial left and right wheel braking force maximumprocess difference and the maximum braking force criteria. In addition, test is limited by the reaction force roller brake tester and four-wheel brakingsystem configuration and other factors, which led to a full-time four-wheel drive vehicle cannot accurately detect the actual braking force on the bench test. As a result, it should rely onroad test trials for testing, which seriously affect the detection efficiency of testing thefour-wheel braking force. Therefore, this paper has studied four-wheel braking force forbench detection methods. This article briefly describes the importance of vehicle safety testing and the maincontent, and then introduces the structure and working principle of bench testing equipment, and instructions of GB7258-2012regarding vehicle braking performance testing standards. Then by the perspective of braking force distribution coefficient, studied front and rear axlebraking force and a corresponding percentage of axle load, relationship between the vehiclebraking force and the percentage of the total weight of the vehicle. It also introduces theconcept of qualified coefficients, proposed new detection concept. Then theoretical analyzesthe standards based on the indicators required and vehicle braking force balance. According tobench test and road test results, verify the reasonableness and weaknesses of the currenttesting standards, and according to the actual situation, proposed a more scientific bench teststandard recommended values. Finally, through the analysis of the internal structure offour-wheel, proposed four-wheel braking force Bench testing program, usingthree-dimensional software Proe draws the structure diagram of the detection scheme, anddescribes the specific features of the design and method of operation. And according thestructure diagram of the main parts to analyzing the determination of the materials and theproofreading of the strength, make sure the reliability of the design.
