The high-rise buildings are resulted in the rapid development of modern cities and thepromotion of competitive business nowadays. They are also the symbols of a nation’sreputation and strength, and reflect brilliant process on economy and society. Incredibleachievements of modern skyscrapers are benefited from creativity of structure design, development and application of structure forms, upgraded engineering computing andsoftware and improvement of structural materials. We are going to have comprehensive researches on some critical issues which are specificto a structural design of a high-rise building in Foshan, all the issues will be discussed below:(1)According to result of wind tunnel testing, it is reasonable to ascertain wind load onsurface, building shape coefficient, wind vibration effect along and cross wind direction andother relative designed coefficients through comparing and analyzing result with constructionregulations. That also meets appropriate requirements for human beings when in buildings.(2)The strengthens and weaknesses of different kinds of structures have been analyzedtheoretically. It has been mainly analyzed and compared with various kinds of frame-shearwall structures through existed construction projects. The best option for this project has beendetermined as well.(3)Basic procedures and methods of anti-seismic performance design have been discussed. There are elastic calculations and analysis for small seisms, elastic calculations andunyielding calculations for middle seisms, static and elastic-plastic calculations, dynamictiming analysis and so on. It is going to achieve a goal of anti-seismic performance designthrough above procedures. The project we discussed in this graduation thesis can provide reference for future similarengineering design and guidance...
