This thesis elaborates the current situation of Zhongshan power grid, Meteringdevice and Automation terminal. Besides, this paper introduces the structure andseveral main functions of Metering automation system in Zhongshan power grid.The research and construction of Metering automation system in Zhongshanpower grid is based on the background,which the power grid expanding continuous,the electricity customers growing, four system collecting data separate, informationcannot be interconnected, and advanced data analysis and monitoring function cannotbe achieved. With the improvement of communication technology and softwaretechnology become mature, Metering automation system development get to bepossible. Its promotion of application function, meets the demand of theinformatization in modern power grid, which is beneficial to improve the level ofmodern service, and plays an important role in electric power demand side marketing,the electric metering management and production work.The research of this system can realize the function, which the data of electricenergy, load and power supply quality in the system of station, clients, distributiontransformer, dssemblety to copy the power ammeter and operational management, canbe collect, storage and transfer, and then, data integrates in a unified platform foranalysis and processing. Four line loss, data excharge with outer system, abnormalalarm of metering device and electric energy data, remote staggering peak and otherfunctions, which realizes the fact from seeing the data to the measuring equipmentstatus. Not only it greatly improves work efficiency of the meter reading personnel,but also greatly changes operation mode to the metering or even the main anddistribution network personnel, and makes equipment management from passive toactive.As one of the participants in constructing this project, I combined with the needsof the measurement work in Zhongshan power grid work, obtained deep mining andaggregation to the specific research and the application of metering automation system. After research demand, system development, debug test, usage summary andcontinuous improvement, the system has been used in the actual work, and maderemarkable achievement.
