The bracket is for the Model Y (Lavida) of Shanghai Volkswagen. Itconnects the air conditioning compressor, tensioner, steering oil pump andengine, also adjusts the belt’s tension of the steering pump and the compressor.Its structure is complex, so that the mold structure is correspondingly morecomplex, long core-pulling mechanism.According to the research, simulation, analysis of the die casting processand structure, we validated the improvement proposal of the bracket andprocess, enhanced its strength and stiffness. We also improved the meltingprocess, refining process, added vacuum die casting and local boosting press,optimized the punch’s high/low speed transforming position, strengthenedproduction management to enhance the casting quality, we reduced the rejectratio of the casting.After our diligent work, the porosity declines to5%or below to meetthe customer’s requirements, increases profit and benefit. The annual output ofLavida now is80,000.
