| In the21st century, human society steps into the nonphysical era. The computertechnology becomes the core technology. Information is the main resources. Service is themain consumer goods. Public services and public goods have become an important part ofpeople’s life. People may feel happy or painful, excited or anxious in the public service.Their emotions are making more and more significant influence in their daily life. Thispaper focuses on people’s emotional experience in the public environment and analyzes thecauses of their positive and negative emotion with the systematism and service designthinking. The author hopes to solve the existing problems in the public service through thetheoretical research and design. Thus, the masses can have a better life.This paper applies the emotional theory into product design with the interdisciplinarythinking. It combs the development process of emotion theory and makes a detailedanalysis of the Emotion-Cognition theory. The theory expounds emotion generationmechanism, which can be used in the the analysis phase of design. The joint point of thetwo disciplines theory provides a new design inspiration.The author summarizes the main characteristics of public goods and chooses Childhealth services as the entry point. Then, the content of the Emotion-Cognition theory and itsapplication situation are analyzed in detail. In the end, the paper describes the relationshipbetween the Emotion-Cognition theory and public products’ design and summarizes themethod how to apply the method to the design practice.In the stage of design practice, the author lists the emotion research methods. As aresult of the limitation of practical scientific research condition, the author chooses the waywhich can be realized. From the perspective of children and parents, the author observesand analyzes of the whole process of medical services in Beijing children’s hospital;summarizes how their emotions develop and change. At last, the author starts to carry onthe public products design according to the previous analysis. |
