Reinforced concrete chimney is the important structure of power plant chimney. As theSO2, SO3, and NO which are produced by burning cause considerable impact on theenvironment, desulfurization unit must be used, but the processed gas will erode the chimneyseriously. And malpracitice also exist although there are many test method. So it’s significantto find a fast and efficient detect method, infrared nondestructive testing technology is thebest.The formula of critical temperature of chimney wall after disrepair is deduced in thispaper, which combine the theory of heat exchange and emission, and a lossy reinforcedconcrete chimney model is designed to detect, the damage depth and area of the influence ofthe temperature is studied. Conclusions of this experiment are as following:○1Thetemperature typical value is increased with the increasing of damage depth and area, and theinfluence of the depth is greater than area;○2When the temperature varies greatly betweenchimney and surrounding structure, the influence of environmental radiation can be ignored;○3The position of defect can’t be taken exactly by infrared technology when high temperatureheat source exist;○4The IR imaging senor of3μm~5μm should be chose because the ratio ofshort wave is big when the gas temperature is high, on the contrary, the IR imaging senor of8μm~14μm should be chose;○5Cold dot is appeared because there is pore water, it provedthat the liner is dilapidated.○6Different radiant emissivity cause different test result, thetemperature is higher if radiant emissivity is higher and it is lower if radiant emissivity islower.The single cube reinforced concrete chimney of Yaomeng power plant is detected in this paper, and the feasibility of infrared testing technology is verified, result show that theposition and the size of defect can be detect by infrared testing technology.
