| Remarkable achievements have been made in China’s economy since the reformand opening, and the development of large-scale public infrastructures and industrialarchitectures has bloomed in all regions of the country. In order to satisfy therequirements of functionality and aesthetics, proprietors and architects are oftenchosen to use less or no expansion joints, leading to the length of the whole structureexceeding the specifications approved by the national standard agencies. Theconstructions with less or no expansion joints are usually called Super-LongConcrete Structures. Specifications and requirements have been introduced tocontrol the development of cracks in super long concrete structures. Considerationsshould be given to the temperature impact and elasticity of the concrete when thespace between expansion joints becomes significant. Less systematic research andpublication has been carried out in temperature load and temperature stress for superlong concrete structures. It is significative to analyze and research the topic becausethe structure has been widely adopted in modern building architecture andengineering.Based on extends from the existing research and publication, applied theoreticalanalysis on a real-live project is studied in this paper. The construction of a broadcast,film and television cultural city project is being examined and analyzed using thetemperature stress and pre-stress techniques.The detailed study is stated as follows: according to the characteristics and thereal conditions of this project, analyzed the temperature stress of the Sup-longConcrete Constructions with MIDAS software and got the temperature stress insidethe construction. In order to resist the temperature stress and shrinkage crack,pre-stress measures, swelling agent, fibers and post-cast strip are respectivelyapplied in the concrete structures, which is the most efficient. The perfect pre-stressdesign has been taken through the analysis and comparison.It is shown that all the actions in this project are effective and the pre-stressproject has met the demand of the design from the results. And all these will providesome reference for similar projects. |
