In recent years, the engineering quality problems in our country are very serious. Oneof the problems is the structure does not meet the safety requirements due to theinsufficient strength of concrete. Need reinforce. Meanwhile, due to the good overall andseismic performance of shear wall structure, it’s becoming more and more used in high-rise building structure. So the study of overall performance and effects of shear wallcaused by insufficient strength of concrete has great practical significance.The study for such issue focused on the separate components mostly in our country,less on the structural overall performance. The paper study on shear wall structure of high-rise residential building use the overall analysis, based on the study of the existingstructure reinforcement at home and board.Firstly, analyze the forced condition and safety performance of concrete strengthreduced before and after by SATWE modules of PKPM software. By comparing thestrength changes of local concrete structure before and after, insufficient strength ofconcrete for structural bring just little of influence,such as self vibration period、theinterlayer displacement angle、the ratio of stiffness to weight, they’re still remain withinthe scope of the specification allows. But the decreased the strength of concrete bring a lotinfluence for the capacity of concrete component, particularly the carrying capacity ofshear walls. So it will strengthen the focus on the reinforcement of structural componentscapacity.In second, by comparing the condition of concrete reduced before and after in orderto determine the reinforcing member. Based on the advantages and disadvantages and thescope of the present commonly used method of reinforcement, considering thecharacteristics of this project, selected replacement for concrete reinforcement method andreinforcement of the original structure by increasing section area design, to address theproblem of insufficient capacity of shear walls. At last, In order to verify the feasibility and reasonableness of the reinforcementscheme,using SATWE and EPDA&PUSH modular of PKPM software to analyze thestatic and static Elasto-plastic performance.The calculation results displayed twoprogramme of reinforcement effect in elastic stage are compared ideal. in the elastic-plastic stage, the use of replacement of concrete structure after reinforcement method inrectangular load mode,the elasto-plastic inter story displacement angle is1/118,not meetthe requirements of no exceed1/120specification. And based on the complexity andOperational difficulties in the process of Construction replacement, increasing sectionmethod is determined as the final reinforcement scheme.
